2030 is closer than you think

We’ve known about the disastrous effects of releasing massive amounts of carbon into the air for decades now. Since the 70s the amount of GHG being put into the air has dramatically increased. The IPCC report of Nov 2018 clearing states that he must reduce the carbon in the atmosphere by 50% or we face a grave future of temps rising well above the 1.5C above pre-industrial levels.

In the past few years we have been experiencing significant changes in our air and water temperatures thus causing larger and larger climatic changes. The Arctic Ice is melting at alarming rates and the Equatorial nations are experiencing significant increases in surface temperatures and loss of groundwater.

Yet the largest polluting nations like China and the US are doing nothing to meet the goals of COP21 or COP24. Just the opposite, they are increasing their output of fossil fuels putting profit above people.

Things must change and fast. Since it is obvious that the polluting nations will not do anything, it is up to the people of the world to do so. Demonstrations in the millions are a start but people who truly care about their environment must become very politically active and vote the climate deniers out of office and put in a new form of government that puts the preservation of this planet and all that lives upon it as the primary concern over industrial profit.
